PURPLE RULES FOR POKER GAMES
Purple Rules Modifications:
Poker Hand Rankings can be formed using the Colors as Suits or Ranks, in addition to the Standard Poker Hand Rankings.
The High Card method used for Tie Breaks is determined by the highest Rank Point Number or the highest Color Point Number depending on how the card is used, not the Standard Rules use of Rank.
Object of the Game: To win a Bet by forming a 5 Card Hand with the highest Poker Hand Ranking, or if all of the other Players Fold.
Number of Players: 2 to 7 with 1 deck
The Deal: Varies according to the game. Typically 5 or 7 cards for each Player, or 2 cards for HoldEm games. The cards are usually dealt Face Down, but varies according to the game. Players take Turns as the Dealer going clockwise. The use of the 2 Jokers is optional.
The Ante: The Ante is a mandatory small Bet placed by all Players before each Deal. Typically 1 Chip.
The Pot: The area between all of the Players where the Antes and the Bets are placed. The Bets are usually represented by Poker Chips.
On each Turn: After the Deal, Players look at their cards, some Poker games restrict which cards can be seen.
In many Poker games the Players are allowed to Draw, which is to exchange cards in their Hand with the top cards of the Stock (the cards which were not dealt). The Players say how many cards they want and the Dealer exchanges them.
Betting: The Standard Rules for the Poker Betting are followed. There is usually a limit to how much a Player can Bet in one Deal. The Player on the Left of the Dealer starts with Turns going clockwise.
Players have 2 options before any Player has placed a Bet (the Ante does not count). Players can Check (Pass) or they can “Open” the Betting by placing any Bet, up to the limit, in the Pot. If no Player Bets, the Players show their Hands and the winner wins the Antes in the Pot.
Once the Betting is Open, Players have 3 options, they can Fold, Call, or Raise.
Fold: To Fold, a Player places their cards Face Down and is no longer part of the Betting. They lose what they had in the Pot.
Call: To Call, a Player matches the latest Bet or Raise by placing the amount into the Pot.
Raise: To Raise, a Player matches the latest Bet or Raise and Raises the amount of the Bet any amount up to the limit. A Player can Raise no more than 3 times.
The Betting ends when all of the Players have Folded or Called. The Players who Called place their Poker Hands on the table Face Up.
Winner of the Pot: The Player with the highest Ranked Purple Rules Poker Hand wins the Pot. See the PURPLE RULES POKER HAND RANKINGS below. If 2 or more Players have the same Poker Hand Ranking, see the Tie Break Rules below.

Tie Break Rules:
A Tie Break is decided like the Standard Rules of Poker by using a High Card. The modification with the Purple Rules is the method of determining the High Card. If the Ranks are used to form the Poker Hand Ranking, the card with the Highest Rank Point Number is the High Card. If the Colors or Suits are used to form the Poker Hand Ranking, the card with the Highest Color Point Number is the High Card. The Point Numbers are compared and the highest Number wins.
If the highest Point Numbers are the same, the second highest Point Numbers are compared. If still Tied the third highest Point Numbers are compared. If still Tied, the Pot is Split between the Tied players.
Basic Strategy:
In standard Poker the most common winning Hand is a High Ranked Pair or Two Pairs. Any Hand above Three Of A Kind is considered an almost obvious Hand to bet on. When playing Poker with this deck and the Purple Rules, the most common winning Hands are a High Three of a Kind or a Full House, with Four of a Kind or a Straight not uncommon. This makes it harder for a Player to predict if they have a possible Winning Hand. This increases the strategy needed when Betting and makes Bluffing a more viable tactic.
When playing Poker Games where Players can exchange cards (Draw), there is usually more than one Pair in their Dealt Hand, giving them multiple options on which Poker Hand Ranking they want to try to form compared to the usually obvious strategy In standard Poker.
Card Counting is more difficult with all of the possible matches available in this unique deck.
