Purple Rules Modifications:

The cards have a different function than the Standard Rules, which have many variations.

Object of the Game:  To win the Pot by being the last Player with any Chips.

Number of Players:  2 to 8 Players

Chips:  Each Player starts with 3 Chips.

The Deal:  Players cut for the Deal.  The Dealer is the Player who draws the highest Ranked card.  Replay if there is a Tie.  Each Player is dealt 3 cards Face Down.  After all of the cards are dealt, the next card is placed between the Players Face Up, this card begins a Discard Pile.  The rest of the deck is placed next to it to be the Stock, or Draw Pile. No Jokers are used.

On each Turn:  The Player to the Left of the Dealer goes first, with the Turns going clockwise.  Players must place 1 card from their 3 card Hand on the Discard Pile.

The Discard Pile Total:  Each card placed on the Discard Pile adds or subtracts from a Total.  The Total changes every time a card is placed on it according to the card and the choice of the Player.  When a Player places a card on the Pile they say the current Total after they declare the function of the card.  After the Player declares the card function and says the Total, they Draw another card from the top of the Stock.

See the CARD CHART below to see the options for each card.

The first Player to cause the Total to reach 99 or more loses the Round and puts 1 Chip into a Pot in between all of the Players.  When a Player loses all 3 of their Chips, they are out of play until another game and Pot starts.

The winner of the Pot:  The Player with 1 or more Chips left after all of the other Players have lost all of their Chips.

Aces:  Add to or subtract from the Total, using the Rank Point Number or the Color Point Number.

Kings:  Add the Rank Point Number and the Color Point Number to the Total.

Queens:  Reverse the Turn Order and subtract the Color Point Number from the Total.

Jacks:  No change to the Total.

Tens, Nines, Eights:  Add the the Rank Point Number or the Color Point Number to the Total

Basic Strategy:
It is best to save Queens, Jacks, or cards with a low Point Number, which will help to keep from going over 99 as the Total gets close.
